Yoga Day 2021: Yoga has become a ray of hope in the middle of Covid-19, said PM Narendra Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Monday (June 21, 2021) addressed a program on the occasion of the International Yoga Day and stated that yoga became “a ray of hope” in the middle of the pandemic of Covid -19.

“Today, when the world fights against the pandemic of Covid-19, yoga has become a radius of hope. For two years now, no public event has been organized in India or in the world, but Yoga enthusiasm has not diminished, “MODI PM mentioned.

He stated that yoga and breathing exercises are taking place at the beginning of online courses, who help children fight coronavirus.

The Prime Minister also stated that when he speaks to the front-line warriors and the doctors, they tell him they did the Yoga “a shield for protection” against the virus.

“They used yoga not only for the backup themselves, but also patients,” said PM at his address.

PM Modi expressed that yoga shows us the road to “Stress to force” and “negativity to creativity”.

“Yoga tells us that so many problems could be there, but we have endless solutions in ourselves. We are the biggest source of energy in the Universe,” the Prime Minister noted.

“We do not realize this energy because of the many divisions that exist. Sometimes the lives of people exist in silos. These divisions also reflect the overall personality. The passage of silos to union is yoga. A proven way to experiment , an achievement of the unit is yoga, said PM.

He also reminded Rabindranath Tagore and quoted his words: “The meaning of our self must not be found in his separation from God and others, but in the incessant achievement of yoga, the Union”.

This year’s theme is “yoga for well-being”, which, said the Prime Minister focuses on the practice of yoga for physical and mental well-being.

It has been celebrated every year on June 21 since 2015, following its creation at the United Nations General Assembly in 2014. It was proposed by the PMI MODI in its speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in September 2014.
