Lahore’s fast food staff arrested after refusing a free burger to the police

Nineteen staff members of the fast food restaurant in Lahore Pakistan were allegedly detained last weekend after they refused to give a free burger to the police. Burger Joint Johnny & Jugnu, located in the eastern part of Lahore, said that a group of police walked last week and demanded a free burger, something that the restaurant said had become a recurring practice. When the staff rejected them a free burger, the police, said the restaurant, threatened the managers before leaving the place.
However, they returned the next day to harass and press it again.

They accused that staff members were not only saved “locked for seven hours” but also harassed and driven. The restaurant said the staff didn’t even give time to close the kitchen, leaving “the fryers are still running, customers wait for their order”.

In a statement in their official Facebook handle, Johnny & Jnggnu said that whatever happened caused “a lot of disappointment, anger, and pain”. The statement added that the incident was not the first and maybe not the last. “Not until we find it in us to raise our voices, to fight the invalid injustice, towards abuse of power against ordinary people,” the statement reads.

“And this is what we get as award – injustice, unfair treatment. Our innocent team was dragged to the police station because they refused to give a free burger to someone” very special “. We are not the person who stops, we are not the person who gives up. And we will fight. We will fight an unfair system, “Post added.

Restaurants have also requested small businesses that face the same brutality to reach out and support them. “If you can help us in any way, our reach. If you are a small business that faces the same brutality, reaching us. If you are an artist who wants to use sound or influence to discuss this, reach us. If you are just a person Individuals who feel the same, contact, “Read the statement.
