Afghan government’s fall ‘inevitable’ after Donald Trump’s deal with Taliban, ex-Saudi intelligence boss says

When Mr Trump made an agreement with the Taliban behind the government (Afghanistan), his legitimacy was negated by the action, and Biden accepted the trump agreement with the Taliban, “said Prince Turkey Al-Faisal.
Prince Turkey, who resigned 10 days before the disaster event in early September 2001, rejected NATO withdrawals recently from Afghanistan as “haphazard, unorganized and unacceptable”.

Saudi Arabia was closely related to the attack on 9/11 because it was the birthplace of Osama bin Laden and the majority of the hijackers involved in the attack, but Prince Faisal previously denied Riyadh’s involvement.

The kingdom has refused allegations there was a relationship with extremist groups such as Al Qaeda and welcomed the recent declication of documents that saw the relationship between Saudis and two hijackers.

Saudi Arabia has been for decades to become the main ally of the main security of the Western government, including the United Kingdom and the US, but with diverse results.

rince Turkey said that the Taliban had not shown it could be trusted to run the country.

“I think they should show that they are serious about what they say, before you give them international recognition. But I think all over the world must find a way to support Afghans with humanitarian assistance, food assistance, medicines etc.,” he said.

The interview coincided with the news that the British government had sent the first team of diplomats to meet with the Taliban government.

Sir Simon Gass, a high-prime minister representative for the Afghan transition, and Dr Martin Longden, Charge D’Affaires from the British mission to Afghanistan in Doha, traveled to Afghanistan today to hold talks with the new government.

A statement from a foreign office said they met senior figures from militant groups who were now responsible for Afghanistan.
Sir Simon and Dr. Longden discussed how England could help Afghanistan to overcome the humanitarian crisis, the importance of preventing the country to become an incubator for terrorism, and the need to be a secure advanced for those who want to leave the country. They also raised minority treatment and women and women’s rights, “said the statement.

“The government continues to do all that to ensure a safe passage for those who want to go, and are committed to supporting the Afghan community.”
