New Delhi: Shiroman Akali Dal Sukhbir Singh Badal was detained this afternoon when he led a large protest outside the Punjab Minister of Captain Amarinder Singh in Mohali to demand the dismissal of Balbir Singh Sidhu, Minister of State Minister of Health.
President Punjab BSP Jasvir Singh Garhi also joined a massive demonstration, the days after the two parties triggered the alliance for the election of the country because next year.
High political drama opened because of hundreds of protesters – carrying the party flag – marched together despite heavy police barricades. Cannons water is also used in demonstrators. Former Minister of Punjab and Bikram Singh Majithia Bikram leader were also detained.
Head of Akali Dal, 58, has been looking for CBI probes into alleged irregularities in the sale of vaccines and procurement of medical kits for Covid-19 patients.
The opposition targets Amarinder Singh’s government over various problems only a few months before the election.
Mayawati on Saturday said the alliance between his side and was sad, the former BJP allied, will “start a new chapter” in state politics when the two parties joined by hand after 27 years. Attacking Amarinder Singh, he said, “While most people suffer because of the government of Congress, women, Dalits, and corrupt farmers are the worst devastated. To free them all, it is important to make this alliance successful.”
Akali Dal solves the relationship with BJP last year for controversial agricultural law, which caused massive protests. BSP will oppose the previous seat assigned to BJP.
Sukhbir Badal has endlessly attacked the state government.
Earlier this month, he demanded a high court probe into “the transfer of vaccines to private players in a large margin to create artificial deficiencies”, call it “scam”.
Then, the Punjab government attracts orders that provide “a limited vaccine dose one time to the 18-44 group population through a private hospital”.
The protest also came during the Congress handling disputes in the state. Panel last week recommended Navjot Singh Sidhu, Challenger Amarinder Singh, must be accommodated properly even though the captain Singh must continue to lead.
