Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday rejected the Russian oath to eliminate the battle against his neighbors, said his troops were preparing for further battle in the East.
“We don’t believe anyone, not a beautiful expression,” said Zelensky in the address of the video to this country, adding that Russian forces reunited to attack the East Donbass region.
“We will not give anything. We will fight for each meter of our region,” he added
After peace talks in Istanbul on Tuesday, a Russian negotiator said Moscow would be “radically” reducing his attacks around the capital of Kyiv and the North City of Chernigiv.
However, the shooting continues at night.
On Wednesday, US military officials said Russian troops began to pull out of the location of Chernobyl nuclear power which did not function north of Kyiv.
“We thought that they left, I could not tell you that they all left,” said US defense officials spoke with the terms of anonymity.
Zelensky said in his video address that every retreat by Russian forces was “the result of our defense work.”
Zelensky said that as a global battle center for freedom, Ukraine has the right to demand weapons from the international community, including tanks, aircraft, artillery systems.
“Freedom must be armed and also tyranny,” he said.
In separate development, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a local ceasefire Thursday to allow civilians to be evacuated from the port of Mariupol Ukraine, which had been surrounded for weeks, left without water, food and strength.
