No lockdown, Delhi govt says ready with Covid infrastructure

Amid rising enterprises due to several Omicron cases being detected in the country, Delhi government has boosted medications to attack any escalation in the situation. 

 Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said there was no need to horrify because the government was working to insure that acceptable oxygen, beds, outfit and drugs were available. He’s tête-à-tête covering the situation. 

 Delhi government has rejected the possibility of a lockdown. Health minister Satyendar Jain said the canted response action plan would be enforced if cases rise. This plan is a colour- enciphered detailed companion on assessing profitable restrictions, which will start when the diurnal positivity rate crosses0.5 and remains above it for two successive days. On Sunday, the positivity rate was0.11. 

 “ The Omicron variant has entered India. We’re constantly entering news regarding cases across the country and indeed in Delhi. Still, there’s no need to horrify or lose sleep over it. I ’m constantly covering the situation and the progress being made to deal with the possible trouble of the spread of the contagion,” said Kejriwal, while appealing to people to continue to follow Covid protocols. 

 About Covid beds are ready in Delhi and 100 beds per ward would be arranged when needed on a two-week notice, which would take the total bed capacity to over. Soon, ICU beds would also be ready. 

 “ Medicine stocks are presently being added and home insulation arrangements are being strengthened. Oxygen force and storehouse is being bolstered. There are redundant storehouse installations of 442 metric tonnes and product capacity of 121MT. Telemetry bias to give real- time shadowing are being installed in all oxygen installations. Around oxygen cylinders have been imported and 15 tankers bought to help deficit,” the government mentioned in a statement. 

 People can call on the Covid helpline number, 1031, to get help for cases. To check force deficit, healthcare workers, including croakers, medical scholars, nursers and paramedics, have been trained in oxygen remedy and paediatric ward operation. Around health sidekicks have been given introductory training in nursing, paramedics, home care, blood pressure dimension, vaccination,etc. 

 A commission constituted by Delhi government has linked 32 drugs and it has been commanded to maintain a buffer stock for 60 days. In addition, a buffer stock of 30 days would be kept for eight medicines linked by the Centre. The process of procurement of outfit for which demand may rise has been started. 

Jain said Delhi government was testing all people coming from the countries affected by the Omicron variant. So far, 27 people have been admitted to Lok Nayak Hospital out of which 17 are positive and only one person verified to be infected.
