Panjshir, Afghanistan’s valley of resistance, remains a challenge for Taliban

The match decided to make Panjshir Valley’s operating policy because of the famous history – never arrested by the Taliban during their previous reign in the 1990s, or by the Soviet of a previous decade.

The stage is set up for a defensive battle in the Panjshir Valley of Afghanistan, which has never been under the Taliban control. The Taliban sent hundreds of his fighters to the region, who was at the center of the match against the rebel group.

The region is located 150 kilometers northeast of the capital of Kabul, and organizes several senior senior members who are overthrown, such as representatives of the presidential president Amrullah Saleh, former Defense Minister Bismillah Mohammadi and Front Resistance Ahmad Massoud.

Saleh has sworn not to bend in front of the Taliban, and has declared himself a director of direction since Ashraf Ghani fled Afghanistan. “Talib has been growing by the team near the entrance of Panjshir a day after they are stuck in the neighboring zone of neighboring Valley and barely out of a piece. Meanwhile, Salang Highway is closed by resistance strength.” There is a field that must be avoided “. Until you see,” he tweeted on Monday.

Talib has a great strength near the entrance of Panjshir a day after they are stuck in the neighboring zone of neighboring Valley & barely out of a piece. Meanwhile, Satang Highway is closed by resistance strength. “There is a field that must be avoided”. Reached the one again.

Panjshir Valley History

“Panjshir” means five lions. This name acknowledges the legend that says back in the 10th century, five brothers have succeeded in taking floods. They develop a dam for Sultan Mahmud Ghazni, said.

Most valleys to 150,000 people belong to the Ethnic Tajik group, while the Taliban Mayority is Pashtuns.

Saleh was born in Panjshir Province and trained there.

Panjshir Valley never caught

The match decided to make Panjshir Valley’s operating policy because of the famous history – never arrested by the Taliban during their previous reign in the 1990s, or by the Soviet of a previous decade.

The reason is Panjshir Valley’s geographical gain. Tucked into the Hindu mountain of Kush, the valley can only be accessed through the narrow part made by the Panjshir River, which makes it easier for the team to defend it.

The valley is also known for its emeralds, which are used in the past to finance the resistance movement of those in power.

What happens after the Soviet withdrawal in 1989

The civil war broke out in Afghanistan when Soviet went, who won the Taliban. But Ahmad Shah Massoud, the most famous anti-Taliban fighters in the country, slid the match against the Sunni Pashtun group and eventually managed to defend the Panjshir Valley.

In fact, almost all northeast of Afghanistan, to the border with China and Tajikistan, managed to be defended by Massoud.

He was killed by Al Qaeda’s terrorist allegations in 2001.

The child takes the stick

Ahmad Massoud, Putra Ahmad Shah, now leads the match against the Taliban. He joined Saleh and other fighters from the region. Saleh said he would never betray the soul and heritage of Ahmad Shah Massoud, who he said “his heroes, commanders, legends, and guides”.
