Beijing: China has reported the first case of human infection with the H10N3 strain of bird flu from the East Jiangsu Province of the country, said the Chinese National Health Commission on Tuesday.
Patients, a 41-year-old man from the city of Zhenjiang, is currently in a stable condition and meets the standard of disposal, the CGTN TV managed by the government reported.
China’s health authority played the Birdflu outbreak, said this case was the transmission of sporadic viruses from poultry to humans, and the risk of causing a very low pandemic.
Diagnosed patients have a H10N3 Avian Influenza virus on May 28, the National Health Commission said in a statement without describing how the man was infected with a virus.
There were no cases of other human infections with H10N3 which had previously been reported globally, he said. H10N3 is a type of pathogen virus that is low or relatively not severe in poultry and the risk of spread on a large scale is very low.
There are many different bird flu strains in China and some people who infect sporadically, generally working with poultry.
What is H5N8? Strain of bird flu that infects humans for the first time.
H5N8 is a subtype of influenza virus (also known as a bird flu virus). While H5N8 only presents a low risk for humans, is very deadly for wild birds and poultry.
In April, a very pathogenous H5N6 bird flu was found in wild birds in the city of Shenyang China northeast.
